Astro Club introduces a refined studio format, evolving from its original counterpart, Astro Studio. This creative space is the vision of artist and arts entrepreneur, Drew Young, and arts advocate, Steff Love, together known as Young Love Studio Inc.

Following years of collaborating and working with artists, Young used his experience to establish Astro Studios. It became a creative space designed for optimal workflow and an environment where Young’s peers could access like-minded professional artists.

Since its inception, over 40 artists have joined Astro, helping to define a full spectrum of needs, like varying levels of privacy, social engagement, and equipment necessary for success in visual arts. 

Astro Studios operates as a collective, providing talent for prominent festivals, public art installations, and commercial and fine art projects. The bond and support of some of the best creative minds in one space creates a pressure cooker elevating each other to greater heights in a demanding city.

Meet the Team

  • CO-FOUNDER & OWNER

    Drew Young is an internationally exhibited painter and muralist. Based in Vancouver, BC, he has influenced the city’s local art scene and mural culture. Young’s works, both curatorial and physical, have become ubiquitous in Vancouver’s creative identity.

    Young is Co-founder of the Vancouver Mural Festival, Creative Director/Owner of Opal Projects Inc., and is the Founder of Snag — a weekly live-painting exhibition focused on illuminating Vancouver’s alternative arts culture.

  • CO-FOUNDER & OWNER (MBA)

    Steffanie Love is an award-winning producer with a specialty in project management and business operations. Love believes in showcasing works that focus on intersectionality, mindfulness, and impact. She works passionately to foreground artists’ visions and help streamline their business so they can focus on what they do best.

    Love has significant experience coordinating with municipalities, developers, and funders to bring projects to life. Notable accolades include production management for Chairman Ting, MEDIAH, Operations for the Vancouver Mural Festival, and roles as Managing Director and Co-owner of Opal Projects Inc.
